Israels Closes The Other Store –To Pave Way For Future Expansion

Responding to economic conditions, real estate trends, and customer preferences, Israels has implemented a broadranging strategic plan designed to improve the company’s short and long-term prospects. Although the plan involves closing The Other Store furniture clearance center, no jobs will be lost in the restructuring – because other uses are immediately planned for this and other Israel’s properties. In fact, company officials believe that the improved efficiencies and economies provided by the plan will create opportunities that will allow the company to further expand in size and employment.

“In times like these, it’s critical to take a hard, objective look at all aspects of our business, to determine how we can best allocate all our resources,” says Bob Israels, the company’s President. “And nothing is off-limits. If any part of our company isn’t pulling its weight, we’ll make a change. If there’s a better way to do things, a smarter way to manage investments or spend money, that’s what we’re going to do. We’re continuously looking for new opportunities, retail and
otherwise, that have the potential to create new jobs.” As a result, Israels will be making some big changes. The Other Store, located at 769 Seward NW, will be closing its doors.
